Networx Events

Lucid Photography has been commissioned as Event Photographer for Networx Events, and although I may appear biased, if you have any connection to the Events, Marketing and Creative industries, their monthly meetings with a panel of guest speakers are both informative and enjoyable to attend; held at a various trendy CBD venues, you can get more information here well worth going.

I've posted a couple of pics from the July 28 event, held at The Fox Hotel. The topic was eMarketing, Twitter and Facebook and really was an eye opener!

Turning 6!

I had such a fun day shooting Matthew's 6th Birthday Party for a good friend of mine. They are a gorgeous family and their boys; Matthew and Jordan, were naturals in front of the camera.

Here's a couple of the portraits. It was such a good opportunity to capture them in a happy, relaxed mood (as much as twenty-odd 5 and 6yr olds filled with lollies can allow anyway!)

I really love the natural setting of a park to create a casual, warm setting for family portrait shoots, and there's the added benefit of the playground to keep the kids happy between shots :)

Family Snaps

Caught up with my extended family last weekend, we don't get to see eachother often, but when we do catch up - we get on so well :) Here are a few pics taken in their lounge room - Thanks for the BBQ guys, it was so good to see you all.

Spent...

I tend not to focus on sports photography but when I heard a very close friend of mine was competing in the seniors 400m hurdles final, I just had to capture a shot or two.
She gave the race everything she had and then pushed it a little bit more, and after the race was over she cut a lonely figure in the rain, doubled over....spent.

A Cool Urban Shoot

Had such a good time doing this Urban Shoot today with my 10yr old son Noah. He rarely lets me photograph him, so imagine my surprise when he agreed to model for a few new locations I wanted to check out. Loving the underground carpark and a visit to the infamous Powerhouse was good for poses and bribary!

Urban Shoots are a great opportunity to turn those moody looks your son/daughter favors, into Fashion House poses with an edge...even they have fun when they see how 'sick' their looking, and it's amazing how grown-up they can be!

Cruising with a Cuppa

Spent a fabulous week camping at Yamba over the Easter holidays and captured a few great family pics.  Love this shot of Ray - my father in law, it captures his cruisy nature perfectly!

A Gorgeous Family

Okay, it's been a frantic week....finally finished processing and presented the shots from Selina & Marcus' wedding, their kids were sooo good and a pleasure to shoot too....had to add a few pics of them here...how lucky am I to find such joy in the work I do and the pleasure it brings to others? I'm looking forward to doing their family portraits in a few months time when life has settled down a bit for them. The pleasure was all mine guys...thanks!

I've got a few days off now but I know I won't be able to leave the camera alone...opportunity knocks and if you don't answer, it may not come back, besides... opening new doors can be so exciting!

Getting Started
