I tend not to focus on sports photography but when I heard a very close friend of mine was competing in the seniors 400m hurdles final, I just had to capture a shot or two.
She gave the race everything she had and then pushed it a little bit more, and after the race was over she cut a lonely figure in the rain, doubled over....spent.
